My name is Frances Hopkins. I am a widow, having been married to Jim for 43 years with 4 children and 9 grandchildren. (Jim and Andrew, our youngest son, both died in 2003).

I have been a Foundation Governor for 35 years and am currently Chair of Governors and as such serve on most of the committees.

I am a retired BT telephonist; I am involved with the Cursillo movement at Loyola Hall Jesuit Retreat Centre where I trained as a Spiritual Director over the last 16 years (involved with people exploring their faith and relationship with God). I love reading, films, music and social gatherings. My grandchildren absorb my time and energy and bring great joy.

I try to attend meetings as much as possible and be involved through fundraising and social events, to support as often as I can all activities that affect St.Edmund's School.
