Important Message Regarding Internet Usage

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,
It has come to my attention that several of our pupils have opened Facebook and other web-based accounts. I have also been informed that some children are including details on their profiles indicating that they are older than they really are.
In some cases children are "pretending" to be over 18 years of age.
As you will understand, this could lead others to make wholly inappropriate comments or suggestions to these youngsters.
It is a matter for you of course which internet sites you allow your child to access or subscribe to whilst using the internet at home. I am certain though that you would also want to protect your child from any exposure to offensive or inappropriate activities.
