Buckets for Romania

Story Published - 04.11.2009

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,

I have today placed collection buckets outside each classroom and have asked children to bring in items to fill them!

Pupils in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One have been asked to fill their buckets with new toothbrushes and toothpaste. (At the moment smartprice toothbrushes can be purchased in ASDA for as little as 20p each).

Key Stage Two pupils have been asked to bring in blocks of soap, combs and hairbrushes.

(The school will purchase some small toys to add to the children's collection).

On Friday 20th November Mrs. Jean Rudin will collect the buckets from us and make up our items into Christmas gifts for children in Romania.

I hope that you feel able to support this worthwhile activity which fits perfectly into planned curriculum work on Caring and Sharing.

Kind Regards,

David Ashley
Headteacher
