Butterfly release

Today we said goodbye to the butterflies that we have been caring for. We all held one of the butterflies on our hands before they flew away to lay their eggs so that there will be more butterflies.

Picnic

We have had a great morning- we made our sandwiches for our picnic, then packed our bags with lots of treats to eat. Then we went to the memorial garden and shared our picnic with our friends, after we had eaten lots of food we played games and rolled in the grass.

Percy the Park Keeper

Potatoes

Caterpillars

Spirit of Romero Day

As part of Spirit of Romero day Foundation Stage found out about who Blessed Oscar Romero was and created a mosaic of him which will be displayed in school. It was great seeing the image emerge as we added the tiles to the cement.

Jemima Puddle Duck Pizzas

We made Jemima Puddle Duck pizzas. We used muffins, cheese, tomato purée, ham, sweet corn and peppers.

We toasted the muffins then added the toppings and then placed them under the grill.

Breakfast with Santa

Menorah

Pumpkin soup

We were given some pumpkins which Mrs Burns made into soup for us. We all tried the soup and we liked it. The soup was orange it was made from pumpkins, potatoes and onions. It made us feel warm inside.

We made pizza faces to talk about our senses and what foods we need to eat to stay healthy. We got to taste the pizza we had made, we found out lots of things about our senses and we used one as the pizza was cooking- smell, it smelt delicious and we couldn't wait to try it.

Scarecrows

We made a scarecrow using straw, a hat, a belt, a pair of trousers, a jumper and sticks. We painted the face on the scarecrow. The scarecrow is in the garden to scare the birds away to stop them eating the seeds and the plants.
